CCS Short Load Concrete is a family-owned ready-mix delivery operation based in Greater Houston. We don't try to be everything. We do one thing, and we do it for the customers nobody else wants to take.
If you've called a concrete supplier in Houston and been told "we can't deliver that small," or "we'll come, but you'll pay a short-load surcharge," you've run into the same wall a lot of homeowners and small contractors hit.
The big plants are built for big loads. Their trucks, their pricing, and their dispatching all assume a customer ordering 8 to 10 yards or more. A 2-yard order isn't worth their time, so they price it like a punishment.
CCS exists because that math doesn't work for the customer. We invested in the right-size truck, set up the operation around small loads, and priced it so the customer pays for what they actually need.
We're not a 50-truck regional operation with a dispatch queue. When you call, a real person picks up. When we say we'll be there at 9am, we mean 9am, and if something pushes the window we tell you before you have to ask.
The advantage of running small is that nothing falls through the cracks. The disadvantage is that we can't be everywhere at once. So we book honestly, schedule tight, and don't take work we can't deliver on.
Real ready-mix concrete from the plant, delivered fresh. Not bagged, not hand-mixed in a wheelbarrow, not subbed out. If we say we're bringing concrete, we're bringing concrete.
The price we quote on the phone is the price on the invoice. No short-load surcharge. No fuel surcharge added at the end. If your job changes size, we tell you what that does to the number before we pour.
You're scheduling around a contractor crew, a weekend, or your day off work. The truck rolls when we said it would. If something changes, you hear about it from us first.
